About You

Learners - An Introduction

The following pages will help all you get the best from this web site and introduce you to the most suitable resources available in the UK and Ireland.

There are two phases to learning - understanding the skills that you need and making them your own.

You can understand the skills quickly but it takes a lot of time and practice (best in safe surroundings) to make them your own.

We recommend two routes - both have their advantages. The first is to join a speakers club. It will teach both the skills and give you a supportive environment for practice. The second is to undertake a commercial training course and then join a speakers club for the practice.

Those who cannot attend speakers clubs should try and arrange as much practice as possible - either among friends, accept outside engagements at low risk venues - Rotary, church and social meetings, etc.

Benefits

All who learn to speak well in front of others find it impacts many areas of their lives positively. It will help you in your career, amoung your friends, at family events and anywhere that you interact with people.

However the biggest area it will help is within yourself. All who learn to speak find that their confidence grows and with it opportunities arise.

We Wish You Well

All can succeed.

Success is not reaching some absolute standard but is to have improved significantly from your given starting position. In this we know you will be successful and this success will spur you on to bigger and better success.
