Speakers Trust has three roles
1 |
We stimulate all that promotes the development of speaking skills |
2 |
We remove barriers to people acquiring these skills |
3 |
We are a portal between all who want help and those than can help |
The trustees will act as the catalyst for these roles to be fulfilled. If you would like to comment on these them, add suggestions or become involved please feel free to contact us. Each of the names on the trustees page is an e-mail link to that individual.
Role 1 - Raising consciousness of the need to develop speaking skills
We will engage all who can facilitate the development of speaking skills. This will include but not be limited to government, education, speaking clubs, charities, the media and leaders in society. We will rekindle their appreciation of the impact that an articulate population can have on society. We will show them how they can best help. We will design new delivery mechanisms that will magnify the benefits they can contribute.
Role 2 - Tackle and eliminate barriers getting in the way
We will work to ensure that anyone, anywhere can enjoy the resources that are available. For instance, practice of speaking in front of others requires premises which can be hard to find. Clubs and training facilities may need to be marketed more effectively. Clubs may be founding for lack of cash. Some people live too far from some resources and would benefit from distance learning materials. In short any barrier will be tackled.
Role 3 - Bring all together those who want help and those than can help
This web site is being developed as the quickest and easiest way to fulfil this role. However it does not stop there. All involved with SpeakersTrust are actively working to get people in touch with each other.
If there is something that you would like to see on the web site, please contact us. There is so much that will eventually be here that the only reason for an omission might be one of assumed priorities.
